About us

I am a mother. Being one propelled me to launch Horizon Learning. I wanted an enriched schooling experience for my daughter. I wanted her to learn at her own pace, be encouraged to make discoveries, and be prepared for the classroom and beyond. Inspired by the private and public schools I had taught in, I ventured into designing a community that provided the aspects I was looking for. Horizon Learning is an intimate homeschool inspired by both Reggio Emilia and Dr. Maria Montessori’s teaching philosophies. When combined, these approaches unlock the boundless exploration I value as a parent and educator.
