Our Curriculum

Maria Montessori and Reggio Emilia philosophies invite children to connect to their learning experience at their own pace.

Reggio Inspired Learning

The Reggio Emilia component of our program provides a stage for the students to express and explore their ideas about the world around them. After teacher and peer collaboration, students choose their topic to investigate, and begin their study. With this approach, students are encouraged to think critically, analyze details, and draw conclusions based on the information they gather. We call this portion of our class time routine project work.

Our Classroom

In our classrooms, you’ll find students arranging their workspace independently, and choosing the concepts they want to explore that day. There are eight areas they are encouraged to move freely between.

Each area has been systematically arranged to progress the child from a foundational level of a skill, to a more abstract understanding. Based on Dr. Maria Montessori’s principle, “what the hand does, the mind remembers,” all concepts are presented to children through lessons that they can manipulate. Because of the meticulous design of these lessons, students are able to grasp advanced concepts that surpass what they’ll be exposed to in a traditional classroom setting.
